In 2009, I remember looking out the back of a CH-47 Chinook down at Baghdad. The Mosques were glowing in the night, and the city was rich with activity. I was 18, and oddly excited for the next chapter in my life despite the dangers. War is never an enjoyable time but there were a few bright spots.
Over the next few months I befriended a local names Abbas. Abbas and I would see each other from time to time and I would enjoy chai over conversation with him. It was through these conversations, my love for Chai arose.
Since then, I started companies, became a teacher, raised a family. This is my dream, and my passion. I am so grateful you chose to visit us here.
